Daisuke Matsuzaka only allowed one earned run on two hits over five innings in a tough 7-6 loss to the upstart Rays, with five walks and five strikeouts. Boston led 2-1 when he exited the game, but ultimately ended his night with a no decision.Other than the five walks, he pitched great. He remains 9-1 for the season, and trimmed his ERA to 3.12, while only allowing one earned run over his last two starts.
