Drew Macias doubled twice and walked twice as Hermosillo's left fielder Friday in the first game of the Mexican Pacific League season. Macias, 25, made his major league debut in September and went 4-for-20 with two homers for the Padres. He ended up at .288/.393/.423 for Double-A San Antonio. The power isn't there to make him a major league regular, but he'll have chances to compete for bench jobs.
