Fausto Carmona : October 8th, 2008, 3:50 pm est
Coming off a Cy Young-caliber campaign, Carmona was far from reliable this past season. A hip strain shelved him for two months, and even good health didn't bring much, proven by his shaky control and 5.44 ERA. Still, the odds of him bouncing back are good. Hard-throwing sinkerballers that induce loads of grounders simply do not come around often. Gambling on Carmona could yield surprising results.
