Jacoby Ellsbury : October 12th, 2008, 1:45 am est
Jacoby Ellsbury went 0-for-6 with two strikeouts Saturday in the loss to the Rays. If anything, he looked even worse than the numbers suggest. He's 0-for-15 in his last three games, and it should hardly be forgotten that his one really big hit of the postseason was simply a popup that both Torii Hunter and Howie Kendrick declined to catch. Between the decision to stick with Josh Beckett, the choice of using Mark Kotsay over Sean Casey even though Casey has been far better against left-handers the last couple of years and the move to use Ellsbury in the leadoff spot against a left-hander, this was hardly a banner night for Terry Francona.
