The Cleveland Indians on Thursday exercised the 2009 contract option for second baseman Jamey Carroll, according to the AP.Carroll has virtually no fantasy value. He batted .277 with a home run and 36 RBI in 113 games last season. The 34-year-old has 10 home runs and 148 RBI over his seven major league seasons.
