Sowers has been erratic of late, mixing a pair of solid outings with two underwhelming efforts in his last four starts. The 25-year-old southpaw is clearly still struggling to keep his pitchers down in the zone, as he finished August with an unsightly 6.03 ERA over 34 1/3 innings of work. He'll look to get back on track when he next gets the ball, Sept. 9 against the Orioles at Camden Yards.
