Joey Votto : September 28th, 2008, 6:35 pm est
Joey Votto homered and drove in two runs against the Cardinals on Sunday. Votto hit a solo homer off reliever Kevin Jimenez and a sacrifice fly off starter Brad Thompson. He also walked and singled in the contest, finishing the season with a .297/.368/.506 line that included 24 homers and 84 RBI. Votto hit .315 with 11 homers and 44 RBI in just 60 games after the All-Star break, and he's talented enough to improve off his quality rookie season in 2009. He should finish second or third with Jair Jurrjens in the National League Rookie of the Year voting.
