News: Angels SP John Lackey, pitching to keep his team alive in the postseason, allowed only two runs in seven innings Monday in Game 4 of the ALDS at Boston. He gave up seven hits and one walk, recording one strikeout. He didn't factor in the decision.

Analysis: Lackey has had a frustrating season for a true Fantasy ace, but he still checks in at No. 11 in our initial rankings for 2009. He is an ace to have in all formats and should prove to be healthier and steadier next year
