Josh Beckett : October 12th, 2008, 12:35 am est
News: If Rays SP Scott Kazmir was bad on Saturday in the ALCS against the Red Sox, Boston SP Josh Beckett was downright awful. He didn't factor into the decision, but allowed eight runs on nine hits over just 4 1/3 innings. He walked one and had five strikeouts. Beckett allowed three Tampa Bay home runs in the game and has a 16.62 ERA.
Analysis: Coming off a near Cy Young campaign, Beckett had a mostly disappointing 2008 season -- one somewhat plagued by injuries. He remains a top 12 starting pitcher option to target in all formats in our book, though -- and one with the potential to perform like the best at his position
