Juan Miranda went 4-for-4 with a triple and two doubles Thursday in his debut for the Javelinas of the AFL. Miranda got a brief taste of the majors last month and went 4-for-10 with a double and a couple of walks. He also handled righties exceptionally well in Triple-A. Still, there's little to suggest that the Yankees will go with him as a platoon first baseman next year. He will be a bit of a sleeper if the team has to settle for a lesser player than Mark Teixeira.
