News: Dodgers manager Joe Torre said OF Juan Pierre, who pulled up with a back problem while running out a grounder Tuesday night, was much better and could have played if necessary Wednesday against the Padres. He did not, however.
Analysis: Pierre no longer plays every day, but he's still a pure base stealer, meaning he still has value in Rotisserie leagues when healthy. Unfortunately, he's not healthy now, but this injury doesn't sound too serious
