News: Red Sox OF Mark Kotsay hit a two-run triple in the eighth inning Wednesday off Orioles RP Jamie Miller, a drive just over center fielder Adam Jones, who crashed into the wall. It was Kotsay's fourth triple this season and 43rd and 44th RBI.

Analysis: Kotsay has hit safely in five of six games since joining the Red Sox. He is 8-for-24 (.333) with seven RBI in that span. He has been a great addition since coming over from Atlanta, but since he is not an everyday player, Kotsay will be nothing more than a deeper AL-only option down the stretch
