Max Scherzer : October 7th, 2008, 8:35 pm est
Max Scherzer allowed just one earned run over seven innings of his Arizona Fall League start, according to MLB.com. It's not often a pitcher throws seven innings in the Fall League. In fact, only two other pitchers in the league's 17 years have done it.Scherzer is trying to show he has what it takes to be a part of the Diamondbacks' 2009 rotation. Despite an 0-4 major league record in 2008, Scherzer had a 3.05 ERA and recorded 66 strikeouts in 56 innings.
