Mike Lamb : May 24th, 2008, 12:50 pm est
The Sports Xchange notes that Mike Lamb's first home run of the season Friday at Detroit struck a railing above the right-field wall at Comerica Park and ricocheted back on the field, and the Tigers played it as though the ball was live. But umpire Marvin Hudson signaled home run, nullifying the tag put on Lamb at second base by SS Edgar Renteria. 'If I had been more quick-witted, I would have asked Renteria for the ball,' Lamb said.
