Pedro Martinez : September 7th, 2008, 5:55 pm est
Pedro Martinez was touched for six runs in four innings in a loss to the Phillies on Sunday. Martinez walked just one, but he also struck out just one and gave up seven hits. The big blow was a three-run homer by Greg Dobbs in the fourth. Martinez looked like he might be a big boon for the Mets down the stretch when he pitched well in his first four outings since returning from the disabled list. However, now he has just one quality start in his last four outings, and his ERA is back up to 5.44. Mixed leaguers should be able to do better right now.
