MLB.com reports Cubs SS Ryan Theriot was a late scratch Monday against the Mets because of lower back spasms. Theriot extended his hitting streak to seven games Sunday after going 4-for-5 against the Pirates. He is hitting .484 (15-for-31) with one homer, four RBI and six multi-hit games in that span.
