Salomon Torres : August 24th, 2008, 7:35 pm est
News: Brewers closer Salomon Torres blew his sixth save of the season Sunday against the Pirates. With his team up 3-2, Torres allowed a leadoff single to Luis Rivas opening the ninth and threw a wild pitch to put him at second. Pinch hitter Nate McLouth, who'd missed the previous four games with a viral infection, singled to tie the game. Milwaukee ended up winning the game 4-3 in 12 innings.
Analysis: The runs allowed by Torres were the first he had given up in August, and he's been a pretty reliable closer this season. Don't let this little hiccup stop you from starting him in the majority of mixed leagues
