News: Angels RP Scot Shields, not closer Francisco Rodriguez, pitched the ninth inning for a save -- his third -- Friday at Texas. He allowed one run on two hits in one inning, striking out one. Rodriguez had pitched the previous two days.
Analysis: K-Rod has already set the single-season save record this season, so what more do you want from him? The Angels don't want to tax him too much down the stretch. Still, you should keep him active. Shields is nothing more than a middle reliever, albeit a good one
