Taylor Buchholz : September 19th, 2008, 9:20 pm est
It was only recently revealed that Buchholz had been experiencing significant pain his right shoulder over the past two weeks. Though an MRI revealed nothing more than a small strain, the Rockies didn't want to risk the health of Buchholz, who was dominant for much of the season as a setup man for closer Brian Fuentes. 'It just needs rest for right now,' Buchholz said. 'The offseason's coming up, and it should be good to go by Spring Training.' The 26-year-old has been nothing short of automatic this season. His 2.17 ERA is the fifth lowest by a reliever in the National League, and his .188 average against is fourth lowest.
