Tim Wakefield : April 20th, 2008, 6:00 pm est
Red Sox SP Tim Wakefield was blasted for seven hits and five runs Sunday against the Rangers, but he lasted eight innings and was still in line for the win when Boston rallied to take a 6-5 lead in the eighth. They held on and Wakefield moved to 2-0 on the season. On the third pitch of the game, Wakefield surrendered a solo home run to Ian Kinsler and later allowed a three-run homer to Milton Bradley in the sixth inning. They were two costly mistakes, but in the end, didn't prevent him from the win. Wakefield struck out five while not issuing a walk.
