Travis Buck : September 27th, 2008, 6:35 pm est
News: Athletics OF Travis Buck homered, doubled and drove in four runs Friday at Seattle. According to The Sports Xchange, he has homered six times in 19 games with the A's after going homerless in his first 17 games. Buck has three multi-hit games in a row and has lifted his average above .200 to .207. He's hitting .306 on the road this year.
Analysis: Buck has had his share of injury problems this year, including the first of three stints on the disabled list during his first time with the A's. He went on the DL retroactive to April 19 with shin splints, then missed time two more times in June and July with a concussion. Despite having a terrible season overall, he has some upside and is showing it down the stretch. Still, he should go undrafted outside of AL-only leagues next season
