The Giants have purchased right-handed reliever Sergio Romo's contract from Double-A Connecticut, according to MLB.com. The team designated Vinnie Chulk for assignment, as an adjoining move.Romo was 1-3 with a 4.00 ERA over 27 innings with Connecticut, with 11 saves, 30 strikeouts and only seven walks. He will be an upgrade over Chulk in the bullpen, but his fantasy value will be limited as a long reliever.
