After being examined by Dr. Xavier Duralde in Atlanta on Sunday, Escobar was immediately cleared to begin playing again. But it wasn't until he took two rounds of batting practice at Dolphin Stadium on Monday afternoon that the Cuban shortstop truly knew that he could once again fully extend while swinging. Escobar, who hasn't played since aggravating his strained left shoulder July 9, showed some power during Monday's batting practice -- hitting one ball over the 434-foot mark on the center-field wall. Expect to see him back in the lineup on Tuesday.
