The Royals are believed to be interested in Mariners' infielder Yuniesky Betancourt, according to the Kansas City Star.The Mariners and Royals previously talked about a Betancourt deal in exchange for Billy Butler before the 2007 season. Betancourt is not as good as he should be defensively, and is only a .282 career hitter. He is worth acquiring, just as long as the Royals don't overpay.
