Mike Smith : November 22nd, 2008, 2:54 am est
News: Lightning goalie Mike Smith made 34 saves during a 4-1 win Friday against the Predators and gave Rick Tocchet his first career win as a head coach. Smith allowed just one goal in the first period before shutting out Nashville the rest of the way. He made 15 saves in the second period and nine in the third.
Analysis: Smith took two tough shootout losses in his first two games under Tocchet, but finally delivered a win to his new coach Friday. Noticed Smith has been in net for every game under Tocchet, so despite the coaching change, Smith is still favored ahead of Olaf Kolzig. Continue to treat Smith as a solid No. 2 Fantasy goalie. The Lightning TG is a No. 2 Fantasy option as well
